Somewhere on your phone is a screenshot of a text from your mum with the only correct version of the sauce recipe. It sits between 4,000 other photos. You will scroll for it again in December, swearing quietly, same as last year.
Family recipes deserve better than the camera roll, and the notes app, and that one laminated card that lives in a drawer at your auntie’s.
What a recipe app does that paper cannot
Our recipes template is a finished cooking app: recipe cards with photos, a meal plan for the week, and a shopping list that builds itself from whatever you planned. Sign-in comes working, so the whole family can join, add their own dishes, and rate each other’s. Democracy at last on the question of whose roast is better.
Because it is an app on their phones and not a folder on yours, it grows on its own. Your brother adds his curry. Someone finally writes down what grandma does with the pastry, which was the entire point.
Three minutes, honestly
Claim the template free, name it something that will make the family group chat laugh, pick a colour, and it comes alive with its own backend in a couple of minutes. Send the install link into the chat and watch the icons appear on phones.
Then make it yours in plain words: a vegetarian filter, a “grandma’s originals” section, a random dinner picker for the nights nobody can decide. You ask, it changes.
December you, mid-scroll through 4,000 photos, sends regards.
