An iPhone app builder that needs no Mac
Glassly is an iPhone app builder that works from any computer with a web browser. Start from a finished template for free, or describe your own app on a paid plan. Glassly writes the screens and the backend, then builds and signs a real iOS app on its own servers, so you never install Xcode or need a Mac. What Apple still asks of you is a developer account in your name, $99 a year, which every route onto an iPhone needs.
Templates to start from
- AppointmentsFree
Services, real availability and bookings — salon style.
Made for a barber shop, a hair or nail salon, a physio or massage clinic and a tattoo studio.
Does not take card payments for bookings, send reminders from a server (reminders are set on the customer's own phone) and run more than one location.
- Loyalty CardsFree
Digital stamp cards with QR earning, rewards and offers.
Made for a coffee shop, a barber, a bakery or deli and a nail salon.
Does not process payments and run more than one business in one app.
- Fitness CoachFree
Workout plans, guided sessions and progress charts.
Made for a personal trainer with clients, a small gym with a member programme, a running or strength coach and a physio handing out home exercise plans.
Does not take payments or subscriptions, track meals or nutrition, sync with a watch and give a coach access to every client record (training history is private to each user).
What you get on the iPhone
A native app on the home screen with its own icon, built with React Native, with sign-in, a database and file storage on a managed backend. The same project builds for Android too, so starting on iPhone does not rule the other platform out.
How it gets onto your iPhone
- Connect your Apple developer account once, with an App Store Connect API key. Glassly makes the bundle ID, the certificates and the profiles.
- Enrol each test iPhone by opening a link on it in Safari. Apple asks for this so the phone is allowed to run the build.
- Install from the build’s install page. The copy on your own phone follows your changes as you make them.
- When you are ready for the store, Glassly uploads the build to App Store Connect and follows it to TestFlight.
The App Store guide walks through publishing step by step, and how to build an iPhone app without a Mac explains the routes other tools take.
What it costs
- Standard templates are free to claim and make yours: pick the colours, add your own icon or logo and preview it on the web, with sign-in, a database and file storage already working.
- Free accounts get 5 native builds to install on your phone, and 5 AI credits to try changes in chat.
- A free app keeps its template’s name. Your app’s own name comes with any plan.
- Building your own idea from a description needs a plan. Premium templates cost credits at claim, and each one shows its price before you spend anything.
- Free apps run on our starter backend. It sleeps after an hour without use and wakes when the app is opened, holds up to 250 MB, and after 60 days needs moving to your own Supabase project (Supabase has a free plan). You get a week’s notice and we guide the move.
- No card is needed to start.
Plans: Basic is $5 (£3.99) a month with 50 credits, Pro is $19 (£14.99) a month with 250 credits, Business is $49 (£36.99) a month with 1000 credits. For iPhone installs through Glassly, connect your own Apple developer account (standard fee $99/year, paid to Apple). Android installs from a link, subject to device permissions and developer verification. Publishing on Google Play needs your own developer account ($25 once, paid to Google). Full pricing.
Quick answers
- Can I make an iPhone app without a Mac?
- Yes. Glassly builds and signs the iOS app on its own servers, so all you need is a web browser, on Windows, a Chromebook or a Mac. Installing on an iPhone needs your own Apple developer account ($99 a year).
- Do I need to know how to code to make an iPhone app?
- No. Start from a template or describe the app in plain English, and ask for changes the same way. You can export the source code free on every plan if you ever want a developer to take over.
- Can I publish my iPhone app on the App Store?
- Yes. Glassly uploads your store build to App Store Connect and follows it to TestFlight. You create the app’s page in App Store Connect, write the listing and submit it for Apple’s review.
- Can I try it before paying Apple?
- Standard templates are free to claim and free accounts get 5 native builds. iPhone installs need your Apple developer account, so if you want an app on a phone first without one, Android installs from a link with no account.
