1. Does it make an app, or a website?
Ask what the tool produces: a responsive web app, an installable progressive web app, a wrapper, or native iOS and Android builds. An icon on a home screen is not enough to distinguish them. Check the device features and distribution route your app needs, then test a native build if native output is part of the promise.
2. Do you need a Mac, Xcode, or a developer account?
Ask who compiles and signs the native build and whether any developer tools need to run on your computer. Separately, check which developer accounts the release route requires. 3. Does it come with a backend, or just screens?
An app that people sign into needs accounts, a database and somewhere to keep photos. Some builders generate the screens and leave the backend as homework. Ask whether sign-in and data work the moment the app exists, without you creating a separate service somewhere.
4. What happens after the first version?
The first build is the easy part. The question is how you change it a week later. Some builders let you ask for the change in plain words and rebuild; others hand you a codebase. Neither is wrong, but only one of them is for people who do not code.
5. What does the price buy?
If you are searching for a cheap AI app builder, look past the headline number and ask what it covers. Some prices cover the screens and not the backend, or the build and not the changes.
