What’s inside

A group calling app built around rooms: make a room, share its six-character code, and whoever is around joins the call. Starting a call rings every other member — on the lock screen too, once notifications are set up. Each room carries its own message thread, up to six people fit on a call with camera and microphone controls, and every finished call is recorded with who was on it and how long it ran.

Made for a tutor holding lessons, a therapist or coach with remote sessions, a family that wants private calls and a small team's daily check-in.

Common questions

Is the Video Calls template really free?
Yes. Making Video Calls yours costs no credits and there is no card to enter. You get the whole finished app: screens, backend, sign-in and a live preview, yours to build on. Building the same app from scratch would cost about 50 credits.
What is inside Video Calls?
A group calling app built around rooms: make a room, share its six-character code, and whoever is around joins the call. Starting a call rings every other member — on the lock screen too, once notifications are set up. Each room carries its own message thread, up to six people fit on a call with camera and microphone controls, and every finished call is recorded with who was on it and how long it ran. It comes working with Group video calls, Incoming-call ringing, Room messages, Rooms and join codes, Call history and Peer-to-peer, no media server.
Who is Video Calls for?
A tutor holding lessons, A therapist or coach with remote sessions, A family that wants private calls and A small team's daily check-in. If that is you, making it yours is free and it installs on your phone in minutes, then you change it in plain English.
What does Video Calls not do?
As shipped, it does not record calls, host large webinars (it is a small-group call, not a broadcast) and guarantee a connection on every network (no relay server is included). Each of those is something you can ask for in the chat afterwards; changes use credits.
How does Video Calls get onto my phone?
A web preview opens in the browser the moment your app exists, and you can press one button for a real install. On Android you get an install page with a link and a QR code, and the link always serves the newest version. On iPhone, Apple only lets apps install through a developer account, so that path asks you to connect your own.
Can I change Video Calls after I make it mine?
Yes. You describe changes in plain English in your app's chat and they are built into the app: screens, backend and all. Changes use credits that track what the computing costs. People often ask for things like: Turn it into a doctor–patient consultation app with booked call slots, Make it a language-tutoring app where tutors set hours and students book calls and Make it a remote-support app where an expert joins the customer's camera.
What do I need to set up myself?
Nothing to start: the app works in preview the moment it lands. For when you want it live, these are yours to supply: Add your Android notification key and Add your Apple push key. You can do each one any time from the workspace.
